Dada has cared for over 100 children and 50 widows since the inception of her orphanage “KIWODA” in 2006 located in Bugiri, Uganda, Africa. She is a true wonder woman living selflessly every day to empower the chance for a better life of many. The effects of Covid-19 devastated the KIWODA family. A once flourishing community of school children, craftsmen and creatives, Dada was forced to make the decision to sell or trade all they had to make a living for themselves for food and basic necessities. This painting is my attempt to help get them back on their feet. Thanks in massive part to the tireless efforts of Victoria Michael, have raised enough money to send the kids back to school on deposit! Next, we will pay for access to clean water, and we won’t stop until they feel empowered to live a sustainable lifestyle again! 100% of the profits from every print purchased will go directly to the orphanage to help with these costs.
